Concept
Inspired by Wilson Simonal's song "Vesti Azul” (1967), "I wore blue" in a direct translation, I started to research prominent Brazilian art and design aesthetics of the 1950s and 60s. When I stumbled upon some really beautiful geometric-patterned tiles, I was amazed, and I started working inspired by those visuals made by Athos Bulcão (1918-2008), who was a celebrated Brazilian artist and designer best known for his tile works that grace many of Brasília's most iconic buildings.
